Mealime is due to shut down on October 21, 2026. If you shop at a participating Albertsons-family store, start with Meals Hub; otherwise, choose by what you want to keep doing: organize recipes with Paprika, plan with Plan to Eat, share shopping with AnyList, browse Samsung Food, or cook from your fridge with Umay. Make a personal copy of anything you want to keep before the shutdown.
Last updated October 17, 2026. We make Umay, so we include it and say where other apps do better. How we compared: we reviewed the official product pages, help pages and US store listings linked below on October 17, 2026; we state listed prices and leave out details the sources did not confirm.
Meals Hub
Meals Hub is the option Mealime points departing users toward. The closing notice says Mealime recipes and Pro features become free in Meals Hub, which is reached through participating Albertsons grocery apps or their meal-planning pages.
- Price: Free.
- Platforms: iOS and Android through participating store apps; web pages may ask you to choose a store.
- Best for: Mealime users who shop with a participating Albertsons-family banner.
- Limits: Mealime says account information does not transfer automatically; review what you want to save and expect to set some preferences again.
Paprika Recipe Manager
Paprika is a recipe manager for people who want to build their own collection. Its built-in browser saves recipes from the web, its planner covers a week or a month, and its grocery list combines similar ingredients and sorts them by aisle.
- Price: Windows is $29.99 one time; each platform is sold separately.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, Mac and Windows.
- Best for: A personal recipe library with web import, meal planning and grocery lists.
- Limits: A separate purchase is required for each platform.
Plan to Eat
Plan to Eat is a paid planner built around recipes you collect yourself. Put those recipes on its calendar and it generates a shopping list for the dates you choose.
- Price: $5.95 per month or $49 per year; the free trial does not ask for a card.
- Platforms: Web, iOS and Android, with account sync across platforms.
- Best for: People who already have recipes and want a planner with an automatic shopping list.

AnyList
AnyList starts with shared shopping lists and adds recipe collections and a meal calendar. Complete unlocks web recipe import and the calendar's saved history and photos.

- Platforms: iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, web and browser extensions.
- Best for: A household that wants shared shopping lists plus its own saved recipes.
- Limits: Web recipe import and the meal-planning calendar are Complete features; you choose which recipe ingredients to add to a list.
Samsung Food
Samsung Food combines a large recipe catalog with recipe saving, meal planning and a shopping list. Its US store listing also describes converting photos of recipe pages into saved recipes.
- Price: Free with in-app purchases; Samsung Food+ is listed at $6.99 per month or $59.99 per year in the US store listing.
- Platforms: iOS, iPad, Android and web.
- Best for: Browsing a large catalog and saving recipes alongside meal planning.
- Limits: Some planning features are part of Food+; check the current US listing for the feature split.
Umay
Umay keeps meal planning, a shopping list sorted by aisle and shared with your household, pantry tracking and world recipes together. Like Mealime, it can fill your week with recipes for you, taking your household's diets and allergies into account; you can also import recipes from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and websites, or start from a photo of your fridge.
- Price: $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year, with a one-week trial on the annual plan.
- Platforms: iOS, Android and web.
- Best for: Former Mealime users who want a week planned for them and one shopping list, for a household with different diets.
- Limits: Planning, shopping lists and the household are free, but each generated or imported recipe counts toward 5 free recipes per week, and photo scans are capped at 8 per month; the web app does not sell Premium.
