All the flavor of a gyoza without the folding: ground chicken, tender cabbage, rice, and soy-vinegar-sesame sauce. A very filling meal prep.
Ingredients
- 450 g ground or very thinly sliced chicken breast
- 500 g shredded green or napa cabbage
- 360 g cooked jasmine rice
- 2 grated carrot
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove grated fresh garlic
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
Method
- Cook the rice and divide it among 3 containers.
- Sear the chicken in a large nonstick skillet with the garlic and ginger.
- Add the cabbage and carrot, and cook for 8-10 min until the cabbage wilts but retains some bite.
- Season with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Taste: add vinegar if it needs brightness.
- Divide over the rice. Reheat for 2-3 min in the microwave with a spoonful of water.
