
A refreshing michelada made with fresh tomatoes, lime, and spices, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
- 360 ml Fresh lime juice
- 90 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 65 ml Hot sauce (Cholula, Tabasco, or Tapatío)
- 15 g Sugar
- 3/4 tsp Salt (Diamond Crystal or Morton kosher)
- 680 g Kumato or beefsteak tomatoes (for the base)
- 1 tbsp Tajín Clásico (for rimming the glasses)
- 1 piece Lime (for moistening the rims and garnishing)
- 355 ml Mexican beer (Corona or Tecate)
- 2 pieces Tomato wedges (for garnish)
Method
- If you wish to rim the glasses, pour some Tajín Clásico onto a small plate.
- Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, then dip the moistened rim into the Tajín to coat it. Repeat for all 12 glasses.
- Fill each glass with ice cubes.
- Pour about 80 ml (⅓ cup) of the tomato base into each glass.
- Top off each glass with a bottle of Mexican beer (about 355 ml).
- Garnish each glass with a tomato wedge.
- Serve immediately.
