Big Mac Rice Paper Spiral

A crispy spiral of rice paper sheets filled with Big Mac flavors: ground beef, melty cheese, onion, and pickles, all coated in sesame seeds and baked.

Ingredients

  • 3 sheets Rice paper sheets
  • 2 pieces Eggs
  • 1 cup Sautéed ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Grated mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup Sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup Sliced pickles
  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 205 °C (400 °F) and lightly oil a baking sheet or ovenproof dish.
  2. Prepare the sautéed ground beef according to the technical sheet (or brown 250 g raw ground beef, then drain).
  3. In a bowl, mix the sautéed ground beef, grated mozzarella, sliced onion, sliced pickles, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  4. Beat the eggs in a shallow dish. Quickly dip each rice paper sheet into the beaten egg (for a few seconds) until it softens slightly.
  5. On a lightly oiled surface, arrange the three rice paper sheets, overlapping them by 2 to 3 cm to form a rectangle.
  6. Distribute the filling in a long line down the center of the rice paper sheets, then roll into a tight cylinder, folding in the ends.
  7. Bend the cylinder around itself to form a spiral, sealing the edges well with a little beaten egg.
  8. Brush the top of the spiral with the remaining beaten egg, then sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
  9. Bake on the oiled sheet for 15 to 20 minutes, until the spiral is golden and crisp. Let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve hot with a punchy burger sauce (not provided here); for example, a sauce made with mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickles.
