A fresh, fruity summer white sangria where peaches gently infuse a dry white wine. Serve it very cold, light, fragrant, and sparkling right before sitting down to eat.
Ingredients
- 75 cl dry white wine
- 2 pieces ripe but firm yellow peaches
- 1 piece organic orange
- 1 piece organic lemon
- 6 cl peach liqueur
- 2 tbsp golden cane sugar
- 25 cl well-chilled sparkling water
- 4 sprigs fresh mint
- 200 g ice cubes
Method
- Wash the fruit and mint, then dry them thoroughly to keep the drink clean and undiluted.
- Cut the peaches into thin wedges without crushing them, so they flavor the wine while looking nice when served.
- Slice the orange and lemon thinly, removing the seeds to prevent any strong bitterness.
- In a large pitcher, mix the sugar with the peach liqueur until you have a smooth, slightly glossy syrup.
- Add the fruit to the pitcher, pour in the white wine, and stir gently until the slices are well coated.
- Cover and let rest in the refrigerator until the sangria is very cold and the wine clearly smells of peach and citrus.
- Just before serving, add the ice cubes and well-chilled sparkling water, then stir gently to keep the bubbles.
- Serve immediately with a few mint leaves rubbed between your fingers, when the aroma is fresh and fruity.
