Orange and grenadine vermouth tonic

A refreshing long drink where dry vermouth meets the bitterness of tonic water, sweetened by orange liqueur and a touch of grenadine for a beautiful color and a fruity finish.

Ingredients

  • 80 ml Dry vermouth (such as Noilly Prat)
  • 100 ml Tonic water (such as Schweppes Indian Tonic)
  • 20 ml Orange liqueur (Cointreau)
  • 10 ml Grenadine (pomegranate syrup)
  • 120 g Ice cubes

Method

  1. Fill a large wine glass or highball glass with the ice cubes.
  2. Pour the dry vermouth, orange liqueur, and grenadine directly over the ice.
  3. Stir gently with a cocktail spoon for 10 seconds.
  4. Top with the tonic water, pouring slowly to preserve the effervescence.
  5. Stir one last time very gently and enjoy immediately.
